Ungooroo provides a holistic approach to the health and wellbeing of the Upper Hunter Indigenous community. Health is more than just physical wellness. It includes financial, mental and emotional health. To support the community on a holistic level, Ungooroo also provides employment, training and economic development services. Through a range of programs Ungooroo also addresses youth homelessness, provides NDIS services, offers health services at outreach clinics in Muswellbrook, and connects the community to its traditions through the Wupa@Wanaruah annual art initiative.
Through resilience, growth and outstanding achievements Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation has built strong industry and community relationships which has led to a range of business-to-business solutions offered through their Dookal Group business.
To further complement their existing services, Ugooroo Aboriginal Corporation is now entering the hospitality industry as the owner of Singleton’s newest café – Wattaka Café – located in the heart of the Singleton Centre.
